I occasionally review books on my main blog, Lessons From Ivy and I recently got one that is truly excellent, but........ none of the scriptures are quoted from the King James Bible. I often struggle on how to write honest reviews for books from mainstream publishers who have almost completely abandoned KJV quotations in favor of modern (inaccurate translations.)
The flesh in me wants to mark books like this one down 2 or 3 stars to send a message to the publishing houses and authors, that Bible translation matters. God however spoke to my heart before leaving one such review and convicted me. Let's face it leaving a negative review does hurt other authors and is ultimately unkind. Rather than vent my frustration on Amazon, I write and self-publish books that exclusively use the King James translation.
I certainly don't claim to be the world's best author, but I do hope these books will be blessings. Which brings me to my main point, 4 of our books are free today and tomorrow on Amazon (9/27-28/2012). Be sure to snag them, and if you enjoy them please be sure to leave a review.
